Key sportsmanship rules and table etiquette every player should know before playing in local leagues or competitive events:

1. Pre-Game & Opponent Greeting

•Friendly Greeting: Greet your opponent at the start of the round, introduce yourself, and offer a polite "Good luck!" handshake.
•Present a Uniform Deck: Outer sleeves must be clean, opaque, and undamaged with no marks or patterns that could mark cards.
•Offer Deck Cuts: Present your deck to your opponent to cut or shuffle after every deck search or shuffle.

2. Communication & Board State

•Speak Actions Aloud: Announce phase changes, card effects, energy attachments, and damage totals clearly to avoid confusion.
•Keep Life / Prize Cards Visible: Maintain clear placement of prize cards, life counters, discard piles, and active cards on your playmat.
•Maintain Reasonable Play Speed: Play at a prompt, steady pace. Intentional slow-playing to stall match timers is strictly prohibited.

3. Rule Disputes & Calling Judges

•Never Argue Over Rules: If a rule interaction is unclear, raise your hand calmly and call "Judge!" to resolve it cleanly.
•Judges Are Neutral Advisors: Tournament judges are there to ensure fair play for both players. Accept judge rulings politely.
•Pause Match Timer: Request a time extension from the floor judge if a rule resolution takes more than a minute.

4. Post-Match & Good Sportsmanship

•Confirm Slip & Handshake: Verify final match scores with your opponent, sign the match slip, and offer a respectful "Good game!"
•Never Coerce Results: Offering cash, trades, or prize splitting to influence match results is illegal and leads to disqualification.
•Clean Up Your Area: Pack your deck, dice, and playmat promptly so the table is clean and ready for the next round.

Allow time to register your decklist, pay entry fees, and chat with local players before round 1 begins.

If a rule dispute occurs, don't argue with your opponent—simply raise your hand and say "Judge!" cleanly.
